Start with the visible space
Choosing the right wall art size isn't just about the width of the wall. Determine what you actually see after the furniture is in place and the doors and curtains are open. Measure the width of the console or sofa below the artwork, then take a straight, front-facing photo to help you compare the proportions.
Try the size before ordering
Use paper or removable tape to outline the boundaries of the desired size. View it from the doorway and from your usual seating position. Notice if the piece appears small in the middle of a large space, or too close to the edge of furniture. There is no one size that fits all walls; the overall view is the standard for comparison.
Depth is also important
In paintings with prominent details, the prominence of the object and the shadows cast are part of the overall design. Consider the lateral space, especially near passageways and doorways. In works such as Kiswah, Diriyah, and Basmat Najd, the details and composition vary; therefore, the dimensions of the specific piece should be considered rather than assuming a uniform size for the entire collection.
Before installation
Ask about the weight of the piece, the appropriate hanging method, and the type of wall you need, and follow the product instructions. Send Fuzzy a photo of the location, the dimensions of the space, and the name of the desired panel to inquire about options. If you are arranging more than one piece, test the entire arrangement on paper before purchasing the pieces or determining the hole positions.
