Sustainability begins with design and production decisions; it's not a one-size-fits-all approach. At Fused, we work to minimize waste and overproduction, and select materials appropriate for the product's function and intended use.
Custom manufacturing
Producing items according to actual needs helps minimize overproduction. We review the size, quantity, and color before production to ensure the product closely matches the customer's requirements from the outset.
Building the piece layer by layer
3D printing adds material along specific digital paths, allowing for precise control over its distribution within the design. The amount of material is affected by the part's shape, required strength, wall thickness, and printing method; therefore, reducing material does not necessarily compromise performance requirements.
recycled materials
The use of recycled materials in appropriate applications can be explored. Their properties, proportions, and the recyclability of the final product vary depending on its composition and finish. Recyclability does not mean that collection or recycling services are available for every product or at every location.
Longer lifespan starts with the right choice
Choosing the right material for the intended use and taking care of the finish helps preserve the piece. We approach sustainability as an ongoing process encompassing design, manufacturing, and maintenance, without assuming that every printed product has a minimal environmental impact under all circumstances.
Before ordering your project
Please share the quantity, dimensions, and intended use, and specify whether the project prioritizes recycled materials, disassembly, or finish maintenance. We will then review the available options based on the product.
